Allen's ambition for success provided the courage
and motivation for his decision to move into the professional
ranks of drag racing. Having competed in the sportsman
ranks since 1977, he was aware of the time and work
that was needed for the step up. With full family
support, the 39 year old owner and driver, debuted
the Johnson & Johnson Racing 1996 Dodge Avenger
at the ATSCO Nationals in February 1996, competing
in the Pro-Stock class. |
When
he is not racing, Allen owns and manages Greeneville
Oil and Petroleum, an oil business located in Greeneville,
Tennessee. He resided in the same northeastern Tennessee
town with his two daughters, Heather and Kim. Allen
is an active member of the Greeneville Chamber of
Commerce, a representative on AMOCO's National Board
for the Children's Miracle Network, a member of the
board of directors of TOMA, and a sponsor for youth
organizations. When not working or volunteering, he
enjoys riding his Harley and golfing. |
